Brandon “Bam” Margera, the risk-taking star of the Jackass franchise, had to call 911 Thursday afternoon when his new Porsche had a run in with a pickup truck on a country road close to his

Chester County home. State Police said Margera was “stopped at a properly posted stop sign” at 1:48 p.m. on southbound Locust Grove Road at Corrine Road in Pocopson Township when an unidentified driver of a Ford pickup who was turning onto Locust Grove Road sideswiped Margera’s 2011 Porsche Panamera.
“The fact that the driver was Bam had no bearing on the investigation,” said Trooper Corey Monthei, a state police spokesman from the Avondale barracks. Monthei said the incident qualified as a “non-reportable crash” since no one was injured, no vehicle was towed, and no sign of drug or alcohol impairment existed. He said it was not unusual that the truck driver was not cited.
“That occasionally happens,” Monthei said. “I don’t know the specifics here, but sometimes there are reasons for not filing charges; sometimes we’ll just issue a warning.” Monthei said it appeared that Margera, who has elevated a penchant for risk-taking high jinks into a lucrative career, was simply the victim of a minor accident. A West Chester native, Margera skateboarded to fame on MTV’s Jackass, a venue for stupid human tricks that led to a succession of popular movies.
The accident comes four months after Margera’s best friend and costar Ryan Dunn crashed his 2007 Porsche in Chester County’s West Goshen Township – a fiery speed- and alcohol-fueled wreck that killed Dunn and his only passenger. The Jackass crew put together a great 5 minute clip of Ryan throughout the past 12+ years, Check it out below! Ryan was a West Chester local and will be missed by all, Rest in Peace.
To many, Ryan Dunn was just one of those crazy stuntmen from “Jackass” but for the people who have had the privilege to meet him around West Chester or the surrounding areas know he was just a normal kind hearted person. Below is an interview with Bam Margera who says “Dunn was my best friend.” I will never be able to recover from this.” Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone especially family and friends who were affected by the loss… Rest In Peace, Ryan Dunn.
Also, here is an interview with Bam’s parents, Who Ryan called “Mom and Dad.”

Ryan Dunn, the 34-year-old “Jackass” star, died in a fatal car crash on Sunday night in Pennsylvania, MTV News confirmed Monday (June 20). According to TMZ, the accident occurred at 3 a.m. on Route 322 and New Street in West Goshen Township. While it’s unknown who was driving at the time, an unidentified passenger also died in the crash. April Margera, the mother of Dunn’s “Jackass” co-star Bam, broke the news to WMMR 93.3’s “Preston and Steve” radio show.
TMZ also reported that the car caught fire in the crash. A tow truck was later sent to the scene to remove the car. A photo obtained by an NBC affiliate in Pennsylvania, showed the wrecked car on the side of the road. As of press time, no further information was known about the accident.
