The 2014 Founders Event

Halloween Parade in Kennett Square

Halloween-Parade-PosterIf you missed the West Chester Halloween parade last night don’t worry as there is another parade happening this weekend in our neighboring town of Kennett Square! Downtown Kennett Square is looking to be transformed with the festive sights and activities of the fall season. Dracula Performed By Brandywine Ballet Company

Beginning this weekend, October 24-26, Bram Stoker’s famous DRACULA is set to be performed by the Brandywine Ballet Company. It’s the story of a forbidden Victorian romance between beautiful Mina and the beguiling Count Dracula set amidst eerily lit castles and sun-drenched terraces. The tragic story unfolds with impeccable soloing, sensual pas de deux, and exhilarating ensemble dancing. Tantalizing costumes, sword battles, artful makeup and an emotionally moving musical score make Dracula ghoulish fun for all. Performances will take place at Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall. 4th Annual Taste of Chester County

If you’ve ever wanted to taste your way through Chester County, now you can! Pumpkin Art Carve

pumpkincarveJoin the Chester County Art Associate for an evening of fun and creativity! The event will take place October 29th from 5:00-8:00PM. Family Fun Nite Pumpkin Art Carve has become an annual event, this year Chris McKinney, one of CCAA’s printmaking instructors, will give a demonstration. We will have a haunted house drawing contest, bag toss, pumpkin tic-tac-toe, face-painting, pumpkin painting and pumpkin carving. Halloween Parade in Downtown West Chester

2014 West Chester Chili Cook-Off

chili-cook-off-2014Once again the Rotary Club of West Chester is preparing for the Annual West Chester Chili Cook-Off! The 12th Annual event will take place Sunday, October 12th, from 10:30am to 3:30pm, Rain or Shine. The West Chester Chili Cook-Off Features a chili cook-off, games, decorating booth contest, live music & over 40 vendors. Last year, with the generosity of sponsors, the event was able to raise over $50,000 to support the good works of the Rotary Club of West Chester.
