Halloween Parade in Downtown West Chester

WestChesterHalloweenParadeEnjoy the costumes and rest of the fun during the West Chester Halloween Parade, beginning Wednesday, October 22nd at 7:00pm! The parade gathers on Market Street between Church & Darlington and continues down Market Street and up Gay Street. Families and groups are welcome to participate! Salute to the 97th Infantry

Senator Andy Dinniman invites the public to honor the historic Civil War 97th Infantry in a special ceremony in Marshall Square Park on Sunday, October 5, 2014. The 97th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, a Civil War re-enactment group, will stage an encampment with a Civil War Drill Demonstration at 11:45am followed by a ceremony honoring the 97th Infantry. Learn about a day in the life of a Civil War soldier, learn about the heroic actions of two Medal of Honor recipients, and view historical memorabilia. Shakespeare in the Park

intheparkThe Commonwealth Classic Theatre presents Shakespeare in the Park Twelfth Night, a comedy by William Shakespeare, directed by Paul Parente. A story of a storm causing twins to be washed ashore in a strange land. Each thinks the other has drowned. What follows is a comedy of love and loss, heart and soul, and loads of laughter. The outdoor presentation will be held in Everhart Park on Saturday, July 12, 2014 starting at 7pm. Super Sunday in Downtown West Chester

West Chester Parks & Recreation presents Super Sunday on Gay Street in downtown West Chester! The event will take place on June 1, 2014 from 11am to 5pm, come join the giant street festival with six bands playing throughout the day, amusement rides & games for the kids, antique cars & craft booths for moms and dads, plus a large number of food booths for everyone! May-Day-FestivalMark your calendars for The West Chester Parks & Recreation Department’s annual May Day Festival of the arts taking place Sunday, May 4, from 11:00am-4:00pm. May Day Festival of the Arts is a daylong celebration of the arts held at Everhart Park. West Chester Parks & Recreation’s Egg Hunt & Easter Bunny Lunch

WC-Parks-EasterJoin West Chester Parks & Recreation for the best egg hunt around at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12 at Everhart Park. The event is free to attend, just bring a bag or basket to collect some of the 4,00o eggs that will be filled with toys, candy, chocolate, gold dollars and more!

Following the egg hunt, meet up at Side Bar (10 E. Gay Street) at noon for a fantastic lunch with the Easter Bunny himself! Lunch is $12 per person for ages 2 and up. Swingin’ Summer Thursdays

This Thursday come downtown to enjoy Swingin’ Summer Thursdays! The event brings great bands, great food, crafters, clowns, jugglers and more to downtown starting at 6:30pm. Did we mention it’s free for the whole family!
