Looking for a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride but don’t want to travel far? Lucky for you the neighboring town of Kennett Square will be offering one more holiday carriage ride for the season! Rides are available from the Genesis Brick Walkway 101 East State Street, Kennett Square from Noon to 3 pm on Sunday, December 23rd. Parking is free on Sundays & is available in the Municipal Parking Garage or along the street. There is a charge of $5 per person, with the exception of very small children sitting on a lap. Kildare’s Present the 3rd Annual Running of the Turkeys
This Sunday, November 18th, Kildare’s irish Pub will be hosting the 3rd Annual Running of the Turkeys! This will be a 1 mile run over the streets of West Chester while carrying your frozen Turkey. The cost of the event is 1 frozen turkey. if you can’t bring a turkey with you, there will be a limited number on sale the day of the race at Kildare’s. Great prizes from area businesses will be handed out to the winners and also the runners carrying the heaviest turkey, the most turkeys carried, the most creative turkey carry and the best holiday outfits. STOMPS Cancer 5K & Fun Run Coming this September
The 3rd Annual West Chester STOMPS Cancer 5K and Fun Run/Walk is coming up in September. The signature Bringing Hope Home event expects to gather hundreds, more than ever before, for one common goal: to STOMP cancer in the Greater Philadelphia Area! This year’s fundraiser is set to unleash the running warriors on Friday, September 28th in downtown West Chester with a 5K race start time of 6:30 p.m. and Fun Run/Walk (2.5K) at 6:35 p.m. You can pre-register online for $25 until September 24th or register the day of for $30. Just a good old fashioned way to get together with a bunch of your friends and skate. Fairman’s Skate Shop Hosting ERGO Tour | June 18th, 2012
Come out to Fairman’s Skate Shop this coming Monday for a meet and greet with ERGO team riders at 5:00pm. The line up includes our very own Andrew Cannon, plus the legendary Dan Drehobl, David Loy, Shawn Hale, Preston Harper and Marisa Dal Santo. The riders will be on hand signing posters and interacting with fans. After the in-store appearance, perhaps we’ll gead up to the West Goshen Township Skatepark for a fun night of skating with the entire team!

Iron Hill Twilight Criterium | July 7
The streets of downtown West Chester will explode with excitement as hundreds of cyclists race through this challenging circuit at speeds in excess of 35mph. Iron Hill Twilight Criterium has become one of the most popular cycling events in the region so count on some of the best national and international cyclists to compete. Fairman’s Skate Jam #2
Yesterday was Fairman’s skate shop’s second monthly skate jam of 2012 at the West Goshen Skatepark. It was a great time and everyone had a blast!
