Swingin’ Summer Thursdays in Downtown West Chester, presented by the West Chester BID and the Borough of West Chester’s Parks and Recreation Dept. The September event will take place on Gay Street, between High & Matlack, with Rock tunes provided by Dirk Quinn Band, and the Funk sounds of Wave Radio.

Tempesta di Mare at WCU

WCU Live! presents Tempesta di Mare performing baroque music on period instruments with “The energy of a rock solo and the craft of a classical cadenza,” says The Washington Post. Performance begins at 7:30pm at Madeleine Wing Adler Theatre at West Chester University. Adults $20; Seniors/Students $15. Details at WCU Department of Cultural & Community Affairs.

Chester County Restaurant Festival Featured on WCHE’s Eat, Drink & Meet Mary

Tune into WCHE1520 today, Sept. 16 from noon to 1 pm for Eat, Drink and Meet Mary! Today’s show will highlight all things local food and local festivals, specifically showcasing this weekend’s 32nd Annual Chester County Restaurant Festival!

Host Mary Bigham of The Town Dish will be joined on-air by West Chester Parks & Recreation‘s Assistant Director Richard Ashenfelder who will discuss this year’s festival layout, top picks of eats from the endless amounts of options from local restaurants, and what notable chefs will be featured in this year’s Chester County Culinary Cook-Off. This Weekend! CHESTER COUNTY RESTAURANT FESTIVAL | Sept 18, Noon to 5:30

The West Chester Parks & Recreation presents the largest downtown street fair of the year — Chester County Restaurant Festival. It promises a taste of every kind from the best restaurants in the Brandywine Valley. The festival is from noon ’til 5:30 on Gay Street between Matlack & Darlington. Seven bands will play throughout the day and the Beer & Wine Garden is open at Gay & Church Sts. The Chester County Culinary Cook-off begins at 2:30 on the steps of the historic Courthouse where chefs compete for the title of Best Chef in Chester County. The 32nd Annual Chester County Restaurant Festival

The 32nd Annual Chester County Restaurant Festival will be held on September 18th (rain date September 25th), from Noon until 5:30 pm. You’re invited… and this event is totally free to attend. More than 50 restaurants are participating, with nearly 110 arts & crafts vendors and information booths, three stage areas for live music and the “Church Street Café,” where patrons can sit and relax with a pint of refreshing brew. All restaurant booths will be on Gay Street between Matlack Street and Darlington Street.
