Creative Escape Workshop Presented by Brandywine River Museum

Are you seeking a creative outlet on weekday evenings? Tomorrow from 7-9pm visit the Brandywine River Museum for a creative escape! Designed for adults who want to awaken their inner artists, the program will feature a different theme each week. Cost per program is $20 ($16 for members) and includes art materials. Register for this program online or by phone at 610-388-8326.

This weeks theme is “Landscape Inspiration.” Journey through the exhibition, Jamie Wyeth, Rockwell Kent and Monhegan and see how artists have found inspiration in specific locales. This Friday at the Brandywine River Museum

Rediscover American art history through an in-depth exploration of five iconic works of art, and learn how the country created its national identity in visual terms. Amanda C. Burdan, Ph.D., assistant curator, will present art in the context of American culture and reveal the interconnectedness of American life and art. The five part series continues this Friday (March 1st) with Andrew Wyeth’s Christina’s World (1948).

Tickets for individual lectures are $15 for adults, $12 for members and may be only be purchased at the Museum on the day of the program. In the event of a weather cancellation, the scheduled lecture will be moved to the following week.
