A Longwood Christmas Beginning November 27th!

A Longwood Christmas will be on view from November 27, 2014 through January 11, 2015 at Longwood Gardens! This season, A Longwood Christmas, will feature a new bird-inspired display:

longwood christmasFrom trees adorned with nests and feathered friends, to topiary swans in our Exhibition Hall, to birdhouses, owls, and bald eagles decorating our tree houses, this holiday season flies high. Our Music Room depicts a festive Peacock Masquerade Ball, featuring elegant table settings and an 18-foot rotating tree. Stroll outside where colorful fountains dance, glimmering snowflakes hang overhead, and a half- million lights illuminate more of our outdoor gardens than ever before.

Fireworks & Fountain Show this Weekend at Longwood

FirewksFtnsLgVisit Longwood Gardens this Saturday, August 30 at 8:15pm for a special Fireworks & Fountain Show! The entire family will enjoy Longwood Gardens’ breathtaking event, the lavish fireworks, stirring music and colorful illuminated fountains make for an unforgettable night.

Guests can arrive to reserve a space in the gardens viewing area after 3pm and are encouraged to bring a lightweight folding chair. Art Show at Galer Estate Tonight

Tonight, from 5-9pm at Galer Estate, warm up with some wine and live music all while enjoying art by John Hannafin alongside the vineyard. Orchid Extravaganza at Longwood Gardens

Free Sunday Mornings at Brandywine River Museum

Now through November 24, 2013 The Brandywine River Museum located in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania is offering admission for free on Sunday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to noon.   Enjoy breakfast with a view from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The restaurant offers “Breakfast on the Brandywine” with a menu that changes weekly and costs $7. A children’s meal is also available for $3.50. A Longwood Holiday Christmas

Wander through half a million twinkling lights, thousands of poinsettias, and magnificent Christmas trees. Beautifully lit fountains dance in the starry holiday wonderland, and enjoy concerts presented daily! This season, enjoy A Longwood Christmas, the region’s most popular winter attraction, through January 6th. West Chester’s very own Hotel Warner will be offering a “special Hotel Warner Package” or you can visit Longwood Gardens webpage for ticket availability as timed admission tickets are required. There is no admittance to the Gardens without a timed admission ticket if you are not a Member. Make sure to purchase a timed tickets now to avoid disappointment! Remember tickets are limited and sell out quickly.

Happy Independence Day!

Tomorrow is the Fourth of July! Since we will be grilling and laying poolside with our families we wanted to say Happy Independence day to everyone! Remember tonight Longwood Gardens will be hosting fireworks as well as there “Light” feature throughout the gardens! Wander through a field of light reminiscent of flowers, discover a meadow of glowing towers changing hues, and delight in a shower of cascading raindrops fashioned from delicate lights as you are immersed in a new and truly unique garden experience.
