5th Annual Running of the Turkeys

Turkey-RunningDon’t miss the kickoff event for John DeBella’s Annual Turkey Drop! The event will begin at Kildare’s Irish Pub of West Chester on November 23, at 12:00pm. The Running of the Turkeys will be a one mile run through the streets of West Chester while carrying a frozen turkey; You may transport your turkey in any manner. In order to enter you must donate one frozen turkey. If you’re unable to purchase your turkey in advance, a limited number of turkeys will be on sale at Kildare’s the day of the race. 4th Annual Running of the Turkeys

Don’t miss this year’s 4th Annual Running of the Turkeys, set to kick-off at John DeBella’s Annual Turkey Drop on Sunday, November 24th! The event is a unique 1-mile run around West Chester’s business district, starting and ending at the corner of Chestnut and Church streets. Participants in the run dress up and carry frozen turkeys to be donated to City team Philadelphia, a nonprofit company that donates food, diapers, formul, and other household items to families in need.

All you need to participate is one frozen turkey. Registration begins at noon on the day of the event, at Kildare’s Irish Pub. The first 150 people to register will receive a free Running of the Turkeys T-shirt. Running of the Turkeys | November 20

The 2nd Annual Running of the Turkeys, the kickoff event for John DeBella’s Annual Turkey Drop, is a 1-mile run through the streets of West Chester while carrying a frozen turkey. You may transport your turkey in any manner. To participate, sign up at Kildare’s Irish Pub at 18 W Gay Street starting at 11am on November 20. Race begins at 1pm. The cost is one frozen turkey. (If you can’t bring a turkey with you, there will be a limited number for sale the day of the race at Kildare’s.) Great prizes from area businesses will be awarded to the winners and also the runners carrying the heaviest turkey, the most turkeys carried, the most creative turkey carry and the best holiday outfits. The first 150 people to sign up for the race will receive a T-shirt. After the race, go to Kildare’s for the award ceremony and great food & drink specials including kids eating free with the purchase of an adult entrée.
