Send Off Summer at Bordley House Grille’s Autumnal Equinox Party

Bordley House Grille is celebrating the Autumnal Equinox with an End of Summer Bash on Saturday, September 14, from 4 to 10 p.m., featuring live music and an All-You-Can-Eat BBQ Buffet! The concert will feature the Steve Liberace Trio, Bender and the Mystery Guest Band, with local favorite Jerry Kuhlman acting as emcee!

This event promises to be fun for the whole family, so bring the kids. Proceeds from the day will benefit JDRF (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Cost for adults is $20; kids under 12 are $10. West Chester’s First Annual Wellness Walk

West Chester’s First Annual Wellness Walk is set to debut this Sunday, May 5, 2013, on the main retail streets of West Chester. The walk runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. regardless of any weather condition. Small business owners put the event together to highlight all the different wellness business in the borough. Below is a list of participating businesses as posted on the DowntownWestChester.com website.

2012 Fright Feast | October 20th

On October 20, 2012 the Kennett Lions Morning Branch will present its third annual Fright Feast to benefit Canine Partners for Life, an organization that trains and places assistance dogs to aid individuals who have a wide range of physical and cognitive disabilities, and Camp Dreamcatcher, providing a summer camp and other year round services to children infected with or affected by HIV / AIDS. The Fright Feast will be held from 6:30p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Northbrook Marketplace located at 1805 Unionville-Wawaset Rd. (Rt.842), West Chester, PA .

The upper floor of the Marketplace will be transformed for the evening into a haven for ghosts, goblins and things that go bump in the night. The event will feature live music by Gerri Smith and Jim Daughton, tarot card readers, hors doeuvres and a wine and beer bar. There will also be raffles, silent auction items and costume contests. Run for Our Sons 5k Race and Family Run Day!

Your friends at Kimberley Vassal Insurance are participating in the 3rd Annual Run for Our Sons 5K Race and Family Run Day. The race takes place on April 21st with the proceeds going to the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy in Honor of Elliot and Henry Johnson.
