Glitter & Glow at First Friday

This months event will feature a special Glitter & Glow spectacle. Stroll through Downtown sidewalks where luminaries accentuate the shops with the magic of the season. Customers will find shelves stocked with giftware and seasonal fashions for everyone on your list. Metered parking throughout Downtown West Chester will be FREE during the event. First Friday in Downtown West Chester

firstfridayThe month of September is among us and First Friday in West Chester is taking place tonight! Stores will be opened late and specials can be found in retailers and galleries all around town. If you’ve never visited Downtown West Chester it’s a browsers paradise with more than 75 retail shops and boutiques offering a diverse and unique shopping experience for everyone. Also, make sure not to miss the  free horse-drawn carriage rides from 5-7 pm! Leaving from Prescott Alley at the Chestnut Street Garage (where the Vintage Garage Sale is located). West Chester Home Eclective Pop-Up Shop

Vintage Sale West Chester Home Eclective is a group of local artisans who love the art of creation and giving found treasures a second life and a new home. Their pop-up vintage shop local artisans will be located at 23 N. Walnut Street in West Chester from 4–9pm tonight (Friday, May 2, 2014). Find local artisans like Candle Krazy, Burnt Toast Studios, and House of Red at this eclectic collective. If you can’t make it out tonight they will also be open on Saturday from 10am – 9pm and Sunday from 10am – 2pm, follow them on Facebook for the most up-to-date list of vendors and locations. End your Summer the Right Way!

End your Summer right by attending the final Swingin’ Summer Thursday of the season. Also, First Friday will be happening throughout Downtown West Chester this week as well!

The final 2013 presentation of the popular downtown street festival offering great food, live music, clowns, dancers, and more. Rock-n-Roll presented by Chaos Thompson and Blue Apple Groove. Located on East Gay Street between High & Matlack.

Downtown shops open late offering specials, new items, and refreshments. Two hours of free parking at the Chestnut Street Parking Garage and the Bicentennial Parking Garage; validation with receipt from any downtown business at the Vintage Garage Sale.

CommUnity Day this weekend in West Chester

 

On August 18th, from 10 am to 8 pm, the Charles A. Melton Arts & Education Center is hosting CommUnity Day! The day will consist of music, food, basketball, family activities and a scavenger hunt. Scavenger hunt participants can bike or walk around downtown West Chester gathering answers to clues about town history and culture. Prizes include a night at the Warner hotel, gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses and other great items! Click here for more information.
