Rarely will I recommend many blogs for people to check out especially if it isn’t local; but today I will be making an exception. If you are a person who is interested in the fashion world or just looking for new styles to check out, I would recommend taking a look at www.thesartorialist.com; It’s a website run by blogger/photographer Scott Schuman. According to his website, Scott began The Sartorialist with the idea of creating a two-way dialogue about the world of fashion and its relationship to daily life.
I first discovered The Sartorialist while I was browsing through videos on Vimeo.com; For the launch of Intel’s new 2nd Generation Core processors, they created a Visual Life campaign and created a series of documentaries about the lives of inspirational bloggers and bloggers who live particularly visual lives. As you might have guessed Intel’s first short documentary film explored the life of street style fashion blogger The Sartorialist (Scott Schuman). As I watched the documentary I became intrigued, not only as a person who enjoys fashion but as well as a photographer; Furthermore, I had to see what the website/blog had to offer. (You can view the video above).
What especially interests me about The Sartorialist is it allows viewers to see different fashion styles of people in the streets through photography. This type of “street style fashion” intrigues me because it’s not professional models dressing up and walking down a runway… It’s everyday people portrayed in there own personal styles and documented in there natural surroundings. In the end, The Sartorialist is a great blog that documents numerous fashion styles through photography. If you get the chance make sure to take a look at the video above and visit Scott Schuman website www.thesartorialist.com!
