West Chester Home Eclective Pop-Up Shop

Vintage Sale West Chester Home Eclective is a group of local artisans who love the art of creation and giving found treasures a second life and a new home. Their pop-up vintage shop local artisans will be located at 23 N. Walnut Street in West Chester from 4–9pm tonight (Friday, May 2, 2014). Find local artisans like Candle Krazy, Burnt Toast Studios, and House of Red at this eclectic collective. If you can’t make it out tonight they will also be open on Saturday from 10am – 9pm and Sunday from 10am – 2pm, follow them on Facebook for the most up-to-date list of vendors and locations. STOMPS Cancer 5K & Fun Run Coming this September

The 3rd Annual West Chester STOMPS Cancer 5K and Fun Run/Walk is coming up in September. The signature Bringing Hope Home event expects to gather hundreds, more than ever before, for one common goal: to STOMP cancer in the Greater Philadelphia Area! This year’s fundraiser is set to unleash the running warriors on Friday, September 28th in downtown West Chester with a 5K race start time of 6:30 p.m. and Fun Run/Walk (2.5K) at 6:35 p.m. You can pre-register online for $25 until September 24th or register the day of for $30. Join the largest online protest in history: Please tell Congress to stop this Bill

The video above discusses the Senate version of the House’s Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). In the Senate the bill is called the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA). SOPA has gotten more attention than PIPA because it was moving faster in the legislative process. But PIPA is just as dangerous, and now it is moving faster. PIPA would give the government new powers to block Americans’ access websites that corporations don’t like.

The bill lets corporations and the US government censor entire websites and cut sites off from advertising, payments and donations.This legislation will stifle free speech and innovation, and even threaten popular web services likeTwitter, YouTube, and Facebook.

The bill is scheduled for a test vote in the Senate on Jan. 24th: We need to act now to let our lawmakers know just how terrible it is. Will you fill out the form here to ask your lawmakers to oppose the legislation and support a filibuster?

Lady Gaga House Hunting in Pennsylvania?

News broke back in September that Lady Gaga and “The Vampire Diaries” actor Taylor Kinney were the hot new item in Hollywood after meeting on the set of her “You and I” video. Now the pair have reportedly been spotted around Kinney’s home of Lancaster County, Penn. – and maybe checking out local real estate?

WHP TV, a local news station, says sources tell them Gaga has been spotted looking at the Oak Hill Road home, a 6000-square foot mansion on the mark for just under $1.7 million, which is located within the gated community of Bent Creek in Manheim Township (pictured, inset).

Gaga and Kinney have been spotted in Lancaster County several times recently – at local bars, restaurants and a food store in Lititz. Rumors are also running rampant on Facebook that Gaga has already purchased a home in the area. Local real estate agent Marilyn Berger tells the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that so far, it’s all just rumors.

“We hear that she may buy a house around here. I know other Realtors who handle higher-end houses, and they haven’t talked to her either. But if she’s looking for a house, I’d be more than happy to help her,” says Berger.
