Glitter & Glow at First Friday

This months event will feature a special Glitter & Glow spectacle. Stroll through Downtown sidewalks where luminaries accentuate the shops with the magic of the season. Customers will find shelves stocked with giftware and seasonal fashions for everyone on your list. Metered parking throughout Downtown West Chester will be FREE during the event. Jazz Cocktail Hour with Terry Klinefelter

Entertainment Alliance presents the Jazz Cocktail Hour, a Thursday evening concert series, with recording artist and West Chester University professor Terry Klinefelter; a versatile performer who is at home both in jazz clubs or the classical concert stage. She was described by the Philadelphia Inquirer as “on the cosmic cusp where Mozart might meet Mingus.” Her 2013 release, Zingaro, features original jazz compositions and standards, as well as several new songs based on the works of renowned poet Dana Gioia. The event will take place on Thursday, October 30, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the Knights of Columbus Building.

Wine Tasting Fundraiser at the Chester County Historical Society

The Interfaith Housing Assistance Corporation of Chester County will be hosting a Wine Tasting Fundraiser at the Chester County Historical Society on Sunday, November 2, from 4:00PM – 7:00PM. Meet the experts in homelessness prevention for single working parents with dependent children, and learn about wines, beers, and some of the best food pairings that Chester County can offer! Some of this year’s contributions include home brewing, organic wines, the Brandywine Wine Trail, local beers, and wines from around the world! Halloween Parade in Kennett Square

Dracula Performed By Brandywine Ballet Company

Beginning this weekend, October 24-26, Bram Stoker’s famous DRACULA is set to be performed by the Brandywine Ballet Company. It’s the story of a forbidden Victorian romance between beautiful Mina and the beguiling Count Dracula set amidst eerily lit castles and sun-drenched terraces. The tragic story unfolds with impeccable soloing, sensual pas de deux, and exhilarating ensemble dancing. Tantalizing costumes, sword battles, artful makeup and an emotionally moving musical score make Dracula ghoulish fun for all. Performances will take place at Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall. Halloween Parade in Downtown West Chester

The parade gathers on Market Street between Church & Darlington and continues down Market Street and up Gay Street. Families and groups are welcome to participate! 2014 West Chester Chili Cook-Off

chili-cook-off-2014Once again the Rotary Club of West Chester is preparing for the Annual West Chester Chili Cook-Off! The 12th Annual event will take place Sunday, October 12th, from 10:30am to 3:30pm, Rain or Shine. The West Chester Chili Cook-Off Features a chili cook-off, games, decorating booth contest, live music & over 40 vendors. Last year, with the generosity of sponsors, the event was able to raise over $50,000 to support the good works of the Rotary Club of West Chester. Rotorfest at the American Helicopter Museum

rotorfest1The annual Rotorfest at the American Helicopter Museum in Chester County is an awesome outing for the entire family to enjoy. There are several helicopters on display, where you can meet filght crews, ride simulators and tour craft interiors. You will also enjoy additional amusement rides, food and other festival entertainment in addition to multiple, jaw-dropping air shows each day.
