The Brandywine Ballet presents the popular fairy tale Beauty and The Beast as a full-length contemporary ballet with upbeat music, inventive costumes, and plenty of energetic dancing. Since its Russian premiere in 1892, The Nutcracker ballet has become the seasonal favorite for audiences around the world. It is performed by the Brandywine Ballet made up of an outstanding mix of invited professional and local dancers. Performances occur at the Emilie K. Studio180 is organizing a flash mob for downtown West Chester on the evening of Thursday, September 5. The rehearsal will be at Marshall Square park in West Chester on Thursday, August 29 from 6-8pm. This Friday, WCU Live! presents Taiko Drumming and Dance Troupe from Tamagawa University, Japan. Nearly thirty drummers and dancers perform thundering Taiko drumming and Japanese folkloric dance.
