Sneak Peek of the Boxcar Brewpub

Hops and Helicopters Craft Beer Tasting

This Friday, July 26, join the American Helicopter Museum in West Chester for a beer and wine tasting event! Enjoy food and beverages from Box Car Brewing Co., Kennett Brewing, LuLu Food Truck, Dia Doce cupcake truck, and more. Philly Beer Week Kicks Off This Weekend

Greater Philadelphia’s breweries, bars and beer-sellers will be showing off during Philly Beer Week, a 10-day event celebrating “the best beer-drinking city in America.” Philly Beer Week, which was established in 2008 and “is the largest beer celebration of its kind in America,” according to its website, will run from May 31 though June 9. The event will span over 20 communities around the Delaware Valley and New Jersey, including Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties.

West Chester’s very own Boxcar Brewing Company will be part of the action. The local favorite Boxcar Brewing Company is holding an event to kick off the start of Philly Beer Week tomorrow, May 31, 2013! For more information click here or visit http://www.phillybeerweek.org.

Being as yesterday (Sunday April 7, 2013) was National Beer Day, I decided to head over to Victory Brewing Company in Downingtown, P.A. for dinner and a brew. First Friday Coming April 5th

The Insurance Beer Snob’s New Review

Kimberley Vassal Insurance Services, located in Chadds Ford, produces some awesome beer review videos every couple weeks. Being that today is Friday, I wanted to share the most recent review incase anyone was looking to try out a new beer over the weekend! This time around, Bill Jeppe (KVIS Employee) reviews the brand new Dogfish Head “Test Batch” Sixty-One. Released on Feb 1, 2013, Sixty-One is a new brewpub exclusive based on the fan favorite 60 Minute IPA. “For this one we used the same hops as 60 Minute IPA, but doubled up on dry hopping and added a generous dose of Syrah grape must during fermentation.” For more information visit http://www.dogfish.com.
