Unionville High School Art Gala

The 39th annual Unionville High School Art Gala will showcase local celebrated working artists, UHS alumni and current UHS Students along with live music and fabulous food. The Art Gala is a highly regarded event that raises money for educational projects and programs. Thirty percent of all artist sales go to support educational programs and projects at Unionville High School. The Art Gala will begin on Friday, November 7th from 3pm – 9pm and continue Saturday, November 8th from 10 am – 3pm; The much anticipated silent auction begins Friday and ends Saturday at 2pm sharp! For updates and further information make sure to follow the event page on Facebook.

A Vintage Garage Sale Continues Today

VintageGarageSalePosterThe Vintage Garage Sale Friday evening market will kick off at 4:0PM and close at 9:0PM tonight! The event provides shoppers time to peruse the vendors for vintage finds throughout the early evening with time to also walk the downtown shopping scene of First Friday and enjoy a delicious meal from any of West Chester’s premier restaurants.

Park and shop ’til you drop with vintage finds from a variety of vendors selling vintage home goods and accessories, antiques, collectibles, up-cycled, re-purposed and architectural salvage, vintage jewelry, clothing and original art and photography made with vintage components or vintage inspiration. Holiday Pop-up Art Show at Galer Estate

On Thursday, December 12th, The Galer Estate is hosting a pop-up show featuring 12 local artists, showing and sellling their work, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.! Give the gift of art, and enjoy shopping and sipping wine, while supporting a great cause, the Chester County Art Association’s New Building Fund! Artists include Carol Apicella (mosaics), Arden Bardol (jewelry), Meghan Bergman (ceramics) and Sara Bleemer (photography).

Gifted: Art is for Giving

Support the arts this season as you practice the art of thoughtful giving at the annual holiday show at the Art Trust Gallery at Meridian Bank (16 West Market Street). Brandywine River Museum Events

The Brandywine River Museum is hosting two awesome events coming up this month. For more information see the event information below!

  • The Sermon! Jazz Concert | Friday, October 11, 2013: Enjoy an evening of classic soul, funk, and jazz in this concert presented by World Cafe Live at the Queen. The Sermon! takes its name from the classic Jimmy Smith record and is primarily an instrumental, Hammond B-3 organ-driven group. Admission is $25 for adults, $20 for members and students.   • All Hallows’ Eve Costume Ball | Saturday, October 26: Step right up for the greatest party on the Brandywine! Join the Young Friends of the Brandywine Conservancy under the big top at the “fairgrounds.” Your ticket includes games, cocktails, concession food, music, and costume contest. Creative Escape Workshop Presented by Brandywine River Museum

Are you seeking a creative outlet on weekday evenings? Tomorrow from 7-9pm visit the Brandywine River Museum for a creative escape! Designed for adults who want to awaken their inner artists, the program will feature a different theme each week. This weeks theme is “Landscape Inspiration.” Journey through the exhibition, Jamie Wyeth, Rockwell Kent and Monhegan and see how artists have found inspiration in specific locales. Radley Run Country Club’s 4th Annual Art Show

The 4th Annual Radley Run Art Show will be taking place this weekend. For the 3rd straight year, Radley Run Country Club has selected Safe Harbor to receive the proceeds from this wonderful two day show. More than 50 area artists will display and sell their creations and many have donated silent auction pieces as well. The event will take place this Friday Evening, March 8th, as well as, Saturday March 9th. There is no cost to attend the Art Show.
