Pumpkin Art Carve

pumpkincarveJoin the Chester County Art Associate for an evening of fun and creativity! The event will take place October 29th from 5:00-8:00PM. Family Fun Nite Pumpkin Art Carve has become an annual event, this year Chris McKinney, one of CCAA’s printmaking instructors, will give a demonstration. We will have a haunted house drawing contest, bag toss, pumpkin tic-tac-toe, face-painting, pumpkin painting and pumpkin carving. Apple cider and cookies will be served to ring in the Fall season. Tickets are $10 per person ($7 per person for groups of 5 or more).  For more information on the event visit Chestercountyarts.org.

2014 West Chester Chili Cook-Off

chili-cook-off-2014Once again the Rotary Club of West Chester is preparing for the Annual West Chester Chili Cook-Off! The 12th Annual event will take place Sunday, October 12th, from 10:30am to 3:30pm, Rain or Shine. The West Chester Chili Cook-Off Features a chili cook-off, games, decorating booth contest, live music & over 40 vendors. Last year, with the generosity of sponsors, the event was able to raise over $50,000 to support the good works of the Rotary Club of West Chester. The Great Pumpkin Carve

The event will be held on the grounds of the Chadds Ford Historical Society from 5:00PM-9:00PM. Enjoy three nights of “spook-tacular” fun at this great outdoor event featuring giant pumpkins with over sixty carvers participating, live music, hayrides, food provided by Concordville-Chadds Ford Rotary, and a Haunted Trail that is sure to spook little goblins and ghouls. Salute to the 97th Infantry

Senator Andy Dinniman invites the public to honor the historic Civil War 97th Infantry in a special ceremony in Marshall Square Park on Sunday, October 5, 2014. The 97th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, a Civil War re-enactment group, will stage an encampment with a Civil War Drill Demonstration at 11:45am followed by a ceremony honoring the 97th Infantry. Learn about a day in the life of a Civil War soldier, learn about the heroic actions of two Medal of Honor recipients, and view historical memorabilia.
