Senator Andy Dinniman invites the public to honor the historic Civil War 97th Infantry in a special ceremony in Marshall Square Park on Sunday, October 5, 2014. The 97th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, a Civil War re-enactment group, will stage an encampment with a Civil War Drill Demonstration at 11:45am followed by a ceremony honoring the 97th Infantry. Learn about a day in the life of a Civil War soldier, learn about the heroic actions of two Medal of Honor recipients, and view historical memorabilia. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
