The West Chester Downtown Foundation is preparing for its annual historic preservation awards program and will start the nomination period on Sunday, April 13, 2014 with a kick-off event at the Chester County Historical Society. Nominations from the community will be accepted until June 13 for projects that reflect outstanding historic preservation practices within the Borough of West Chester. The kick-off event will feature Dr. Jim Jones who will present a lecture entitled Preserving the West Chester Railroad. The event is free and begins at 2pm on April 13, 2014.
