To most people, there’s classical; then there’s jazz; and then there’s funk. But to the revolutionary music group Black Violin, they’re just the ingredients. Black Violin, made up of classically trained instrumentalists Kev Marcus (violin) and Wil B. (viola), is redefining the music world by combining a daunting array of musical styles and influences to produce a signature sound. It has revolutionized a new category of classical music with influences ranging from Bach to Jay-Z. Simply said, Black Violin is breaking the rules and taking the music industry by storm. They will be performing on this Saturday, February 15th at 7:30pm in the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, Philips Memorial Building. Reserved seating is recommended, see ticket information at WCU Live!
