The 2014 West Chester WinterFest is slated to begin this Friday (February 14, 2014) and last through the weekend. Below is a list of events that will kick-off the festival on Friday to see the rest of the schedule visit Downtownwestchester.com.
- Carriage Rides | West Gay Street | 6pm-9pm: Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through downtown as you learn some of the more interesting aspects of this historic town.
- Retail Sales | all-day, half-the-night: Check out the various participating retail boutiques that have made West Chester a shopping destination not matched by any other. Shops open late with many offering refreshments.
- Art Exhibit and Family Craft / Oscar Lasko Youth Program Center / 5pm – 7pm: Join the YMCA for a fun evening full of possibilities! Enjoy the Lobby Art Exhibit and craft for kids, in celebration of February holidays. Learn more about your local Y by taking a facility tour. Be sure to check out the Wall of Y History located in the lobby and sign up for camp.
- Museum Exhibit | Chester County Historical Society | 9:30 to 4:30: The Chester County Historical Society (225 N High St) presents Chester County Clothing of the 1800s, a nationally recognized clothing collection. From spectacular high style pieces to Quaker plain dress, this exhibit tells the stories of fashionable lifestyles and social reform movements of the 19th century.
