If you’ve been traveling around town lately then I’m sure you’ve noticed the ongoing construction along Church street. The Improvement Project is installing new sidewalks, curbs, trash containers, lampposts, and trees on Church Street between Chestnut and Miner Streets. The $1.4 million project is funded by the Chester County Department of Community Development, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and West Chester Borough. According to DowntownWestChester.com:
Work on the project will continue as weather permits. Handicap ramps on the west corners of Gay and Church Streets are currently scheduled for installation. New streetlights will also be installed for which bases have already been constructed.
