Two Benefit Events Slated for the Weekend

  • Beat-the-Bug Run/Walk | April 21, 2013 | 2:00PM 

The Annual Beat-the-Bug 5k Run/2k Walk race begins at Church Street and Wollerton Alley (which is one block south of the corner of Church and Market Streets). All runners who register by April 7th will be guaranteed a t-shirt.  All others will receive a t-shirt while supplies last. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers of each age group.  All youth finishers receive a race souvenier. Proceeds benefit Imagine No Malaria. Details at Chester County Running Store.

  • Cut-A-Thon at Blaze Salon | April 21, 2013 | 12:00PM 

Blaze Salon (144 E Market St, 610-431-2190) is supporting Adolescent Awareness Foundation with a Cut-A-Thon on Sunday, April 21. Clients will be able to schedule appointments for haircuts only from 12 to 5 for a donation of $25. proceeds will directly benefit The Adolescent Awareness Foundation. In an effort to fit in as many clients as possible, clients may leave wet or have their hair blown dry by an assistant if time permits. See more at facebook.
