The Chester County Historical Society is a not-for-profit educational institution whose mission is to promote an understanding of the history of Chester County and southeastern Pennsylvania by collecting, preserving, exhibiting and interpreting that history and its relationship to the region, and nation beyond, to audiences of all ages and interests. Family Day | February 10th
Enjoy old-fashioned family fun with crafts, toys, dress up and story telling from 10am-1pm at the Chester County Historical Society, High & Chestnut Streets. At 11am, meet children’s author Jen Bryant, author of A Splash of Red, The Life and Art of Horace Pippin. All museum exhibits and The History Lab will be open. $10.00 per family. History on Tap | February 19th
Join the Chester County Historical Society for a special evening with the Dill Pickle Old Time Orchestra at The Social Lounge (29 East Gay Street) starting at 6:30pm. You’ll travel back in time as the Dill Pickle band plays some good old-time American fiddle tunes, gospel, tin pan alley, and mountain songs. Hear about some local history from mandolin player and West Chester University history professor Dr. Charles Hardy. Free to enjoy with lots of great food and drink available for purchase.
