There are many stores throughout West Chester, each offering their own style and uniqueness. Recently, I was walking down Gay Street and noticed a new store that I have never seen before, So I decided to investigate. What I found was a new addition to our town called Bella & Betty.
“Bella & Betty offer unique items from local and international artisans as well as iconic and up-and-coming brand names. Our gifts are designed to appeal to a huge demographic and items will be available in all price ranges,” said co-owner Rain Speciale. “At the core will be members of Gen X. They don’t want the mass-produced foreign-made items you typically find in Target and Kmart.”
They first opened their doors this past Friday and what really intrigued me was both owners are local and live right here in West Chester. “We looked at other locations but we wanted to open the store in West Chester,” Speciale said. “We live here and play here. We love the heartbeat of West Chester and all of its energy.”
I would highly suggest checking out the new store located at 117-123 West Gay Street, in the heart of the West Chester business district. Store hours are 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. On Sundays the store will be open from noon until 5:00 p.m. Visit there facebook.
