Historic Structure Makes Top Ten in National Challenge

The Lincoln Building, also known as the Lincoln Biography Building at 28 West Market Street, is competing in THIS PLACE MATTERS 2011 National Challenge sponsored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Current voting has put it in the Top Ten. In order to receive a grant, it must reach the top three. See the current voting results.

Two ways to vote for The Lincoln Building
Go to the Chester County Community Foundation, the building owner, for easy instructions and links for voting.

Or go directly to West Chester Business Improvement District web pageat THIS PLACE MATTERS. This is where you vote to support The Lincoln Building. On the right hand side, you will see a blue box that says Vote for This Site.

  • If you are registered with the National Trust, log on and follow the instructions to vote.
  • If you are not registered with the National Trust, then simply click on the link at the bottom of the box that says “Register or Get a Password Reminder”. At that page you will be asked to fill in your e-mail address and ZIP code. Make sure you click on “remember me.” Then click on “submit” and you’re done. You just voted to support The Lincoln Building.
